Our time in Ireland has been brief. So we were excited when Speakeasy Explorer Cailin O'Neil revealed that the final leg of her recent trip would take her into Northern Ireland. The country has never looked more beautiful; Cailin captured its essence perfectly. See for yourself!

I learned today on a Black Taxi Tour that Belfast, Northern Ireland has some pretty wicked street art if you know where to look for it. I found this guy along with a few murals of famous Northern Ireland celebrities and popular news makers at Commercial Court, Donegall Street. #discoverNI

I love the tradition of afternoon teas and high teas in the UK and Ireland. I wish this was a more popular thing to do in Canada. I enjoyed a fabulous tea yesterday at the Merchant Hotel in Belfast along with a pink champagne, the BEST egg sandwiches and more. #discoverNI

The ceiling and chandelier in the main dome of Belfast's City Hall. I took a tour through there today and I am pretty sure I could of just stood there looking up all day. So gorgeous and mesmerizing. It was better in person, definitely worth a visit. #discoverNI

One of the funkiest buildings in Belfast is the "Titanic Belfast" museum whose exterior is shaped like 4 different 90ft ship hulls. The museum is the most comprehensive museum about the Titanic in the world. The museum actually sits at the dry docks where the Titanic was first built and launched. The museum was pretty impressive and I learned a lot, however there could of been a lot more Leonardo for me... ;) If visiting give yourself at least a couple of hours and avoid visiting on weekends if you can as that is when they are the busiest. #discoverNI

AMAZING day today at Northern Ireland's UNESCO site, the Giant's Causeway. Even though there was lots of wind and rain and even hail at one point it was still awesome. A freak 1 minute hail storm attacks Northern Ireland's UNESCO World Heritage site the Giant's Causeway this morning. I've been traveling around Northern Ireland for the past 5 days and without a doubt this was by far my favorite place. I could of stayed there all day exploring. These rock formations are said to be 50-60 million years old and were caused by basalt lava cooling and contracting. Or as the folk tales say, it was created by a giant as a bridge to Scotland so that he could fight another giant. I prefer the latter description. #discoverNI #bbctravel

Located in Northern Ireland's countryside near the Gracehill Golf Club this beautiful treelined street is just one of many beautiful #GoT filming locations in the country! Another shot from the Giant's Causeway because it is just that beautiful! I felt like a kid on a playground climbing all over the rocks that make natural steps for you. You have to be careful though because at times the rocks can be slippery. However they do have staff on standby to help people if they get injured and warning people not to climb to high. #discoverNI

Tourists attempt to cross the Carrick-a-Rede rope bridge in county Antrim, Northern Ireland. For years fishermen have been building bridges across from the mainland to the small Carrickarede island to fish for salmon. However now the salmon are mostly gone and the bridge is kept up by the National Trust as a tourist attraction. No one has ever fallen off however a few people have been too afraid to go back and have had to be taken back to shore by boat. #discoverNI

When you visit the Giant's Causeway in Northern Ireland you have two options to get there. 1) You take the blue trail, which is the quickest and most direct route that has you walking or bus-ing down a paved road or 2) You take the longer winding, and windy up and down gravel filled red trail that eventually brings you to these old stone steps (162 of them to be exact) that lead you down to the ocean and the rocks. Which option do you chose? #discoverNI

When visiting the Giant's Causeway in Northern Ireland don't forget to look down. It's amazing to think that these stones that I was walking all over were 60+ million YEARS old. Things like that are literally unfathomable and make you feel really small in this great big world we live in. #discoverni #bbctravel

Located not too far from the Giant's Causeway in Northern Ireland is the Dunluce Castle that dates back all the way to the 13th century. The coolest part about it for me aside from the beautiful ruins is the Mermaid's Cave at the bottom. A must see for sure. #discoverNI

This week Speakeasy Explorer Cailin O'Neil travels through Estonia, Latvia, and Lithuania. Along the way, she finds hip neighbors in Estonia, cool road trip finds on her journey between Lativa and Lithuania, and takes flight over the Trakai Castle and Historical National Park in Lithuania. The Schlössle Hotel in Tallinn, Estonia is quite deceiving from the street. From the outside it looks nice and quaint but inside some of the rooms are cave like and the basement has one of the coolest cave like cigar lounges/bars in the city. Today for lunch in the small Estonian seaside town of Pärnu we dined at this adorable little restaurant full of color and patterns which was called "Supelsaksad Cafe". I had a beef tenderloin which was delicious!!

Exploring the Art Nouveau area of Riga, Latvia today with our local Latvian tour guide Tom. There are 800 Art Nouveau buildings in Riga which equal about 40% of the buildings standing in central Riga and they are simply stunning. I highly recommend a stroll through the Art Nouveau district aka the quiet centre if you visit! #jaywaybaltics

Some areas of Riga are crowded with people especially on a Saturday, however around the corner there is always a park or a nice quiet street scene like this one. I loved this tiny orange car! Today was a GORGEOUS day in Riga, Latvia. It was 18 or 20 Celsius, finally warming up. People were out having picnics in all of the beautiful parks across the city and it was the perfect day for a boat trip along the Riga Canal and River. An 1hr long round trip in one of these charming old boats costs €18 and is quite relaxing. #jaywaybaltics @visit_latvia @visitriga

Exploring Latvia's Rundāle Palace today there were hundreds of gorgeous portraits and this one stood out as one of my favorites. Not sure who she is but I found it to be quite unique compared to the others. Driving from Riga, Latvia to Vilnius, Lithuania today we stopped at this popular road side attraction in Lithuania know as the Hill of Crosses. There are anywhere from 100,000 to 400,000 crosses here mostly placed by Catholics. It was unlike anything I've ever seen. Really unique. #jaywaybaltics

This morning I checked a major item off of my bucket-list as I got to go on my first ever hot air balloon ride! Outside of Vilnius, Lithuania we flew with the Ballooning Centre Lithuania over the Trakai Castle and Trakai Historical National Park. It was definitely an epic morning for it. A chilly day pool side at the Hedon Spa & Hotel in Pärnu, Estonia. Renovated and reopened in 2014, this spa sits on the beach with the Baltic Sea gently lapping at its shores. In summer time the small town of Pärnu swells from 30,000 to 60,000+ visiting the beach, spa and small town. Today is a big one here at Speakeasy. We love traveling and we know that you do too. So, to help fuel your wanderlust (and ours when we’re at home), we’re teaming up with seasoned travelers to showcase their adventures on our blog and social channels, including our Instagram and new Facebook page.

We’re excited to name Cailin O’Neil, of Travel Yourself, as our first Speakeasy Featured Traveler! Cailin is an awesome travel blogger and vlogger (video blogger) who started her travel site in 2009. We met her online a year later, and then got to finally meet up in person during a trip to Girona in Costa Brava, Spain, in 2012.

Cailin's videos are full of personality and wanderlust. She's got a knack for being able to showcase the experiences happening around her in a fun and insightful way.

This just might be the last storm of the season. Mother nature really outdid herself today - it is absolutely gorgeous outside.

I'm torn, on one hand I love it and I'll be sad to see winter fade away but on the other hand I'll be happy to spend more time outdoors. I miss being able to take a simple run down the street.

In any case, I'm glad we got outside today to enjoy the snow fall and test out our new St. Petersburg scarf. This scarf is so soft and makes is a perfect fit for Randy's winter look.
