19 Snapshots That Will Forever Change Your View of the Baltics

This week Speakeasy Explorer Cailin O'Neil travels through Estonia, Latvia, and Lithuania. Along the way, she finds hip neighbors in Estonia, cool road trip finds on her journey between Lativa and Lithuania, and takes flight over the Trakai Castle and Historical National Park in Lithuania. Pretty awesome stuff, if I do say so myself.

Speakeasy Explorer Cailin O'Neil wanders through Spain!

Today is a big one here at Speakeasy. We love traveling and we know that you do too. So, to help fuel your wanderlust (and ours when we’re at home), we’re teaming up with seasoned travelers to showcase their adventures on our blog and social channels, including our Instagram and new Facebook page.

We’re excited to name Cailin O’Neil, of Travel Yourself, as our first Speakeasy Featured Traveler! Cailin is an awesome travel blogger and vlogger (video blogger) who started her travel site in 2009. We met her online a year later, and then got to finally meet up in person during a trip to Girona in Costa Brava, Spain, in 2012.

Cailin's videos are full of personality and wanderlust. She's got a knack for being able to showcase the experiences happening around her in a fun and insightful way.

Throughout May, we’ll be featuring her photos as she travels through Spain, the Baltics, takes a jaunt to London and road trips around beautiful Ireland! It’s going to be quite the adventure and we're excited that she is sharing her adventures with us!

If you have any questions about her journey, just let us know in the comments and we’ll get them answered for you. In the meantime, enjoy the wanderlust and be sure to check out her site, Travel Yourself, and follow her on Facebook, Twitter, and Instagram for live updates from around Europe and beyond.

Cailin has our pretty Charleston scarf with her for this adventure. We still have a few left so you can snag one for your next jaunt too!

Speakeasy In The News!

We're having a busy month here at Speakeasy!

Our Canterbury scarf was just featured on Yahoo! Travel this morning!!!

Here's what Yahoo! Travel editor Leah Ginsberg had to say about it:

"A scarf is always a must-have — changing climates make layering a key tool to comfortable traveling. But this one takes it up a notch: It has a roomy zipped pocket to stash important stuff you want to keep close, like your passport, phone, lipstick, etc."

You can see the other 5 items they recommended in the article:   6 Chic Travel-Friendly Accessories for Spring.

And if you ever wanted to learn more about us you're in luck! We were interviewed twice this month about our scarves and how my obsession with travel safety turned into a business. You can learn a little more about us, how we started making these scarves to begin with and how picky we are about quality fabrics.

You can check out the interview on ThriveWire: How To Hide Your Passport Fanny Pack Free.

Winter's Day

This just might be the last storm of the season. Mother nature really outdid herself today - it is absolutely gorgeous outside.

I'm torn, on one hand I love it and I'll be sad to see winter fade away but on the other hand I'll be happy to spend more time outdoors. I miss being able to take a simple run down the street.

In any case, I'm glad we got outside today to enjoy the snow fall and test out our new St. Petersburg scarf. This scarf is so soft and makes is a perfect fit for Randy's winter look.
